The police seized a massive cache of weapons from near a water tank at Puthrakkad in Balaramapuram. The weapons were found hidden in sacks during a routine patrol conducted as part of election security measures.
Based on reports of potential tension in the area, the police carried out a detailed search which led to the recovery of swords, axes, machetes, iron rods, pipe bombs, and other explosive materials. It is currently unclear who abandoned the weapons at the site.
The police have shifted the seized items to the station and launched an investigation using CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify those involved. (Kerala news)
