KOCHI: The official poster of the upcoming movie ‘Thudakkam’, featuring superstar Mohanlal in an intense new look, has been released. Mohanlal himself launched the poster through his official social media handle, and it has already gone viral across various digital platforms.
The poster showcases an intense-looking Mohanlal alongside Vismaya Mohanlal, who carries a slightly vulnerable expression. Positioned in the middle is Ashish Jo Antony, sporting thick hair and a very serious demeanor. Below them, Vismaya Mohanlal is seen walking with her arm around a child’s shoulder, with a curious dog standing in front of them.
Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the prestigious banner of Ashirvad Cinemas, ‘Thudakkam’ is directed by Jude Anthany Joseph. This new poster has been released as part of the promotional campaign leading up to the film’s theatrical release on August 7.
The director had previously hinted that the film tells a complete family story set against the backdrop of a simple, everyday life in a high-range village. The updates released so far align perfectly with this premise. Whether there is a serious mystery hidden behind the life of this small family is what keeps the audience highly intrigued, a suspense that will remain until the film hits the screens on August 7.
Filmed across scenic locations in Peerumade, Thodupuzha, and Kochi, the post-production work of the movie is currently in its final stages. Dr. Emil Antony and Dr. Aneesha Antony serve as the executive producers of the project.
The film features an ensemble supporting cast including Manoj K. Jayan, Ganesh Kumar, Bobby Kurian, Dinesh Prabhakar, Jaffer Idukki, Kottayam Ramesh, Jibin Gopinath, Sivadas Kannur, Jais Jose, Jayakurup, and Ashwini Vijayan. Along with them, Mohanlal plays a crucial and pivotal character in the narrative.
The screenplay is jointly penned by Lineesh Nellikkal, Akhil Krishna, and Jude Anthany Joseph. The technical crew includes Jakes Bejoy for music, Akhil George and Jomon T. John for cinematography, and Chaman Chacko for editing. Santhosh Raman is the production designer, Jithesh Poyya handles makeup, and Arun Manohar is the costume designer.
