NAGPUR: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that attempts are being made to bring about a regime change in India, similar to the recent political upheavals witnessed in Bangladesh, France, and Nepal. However, he asserted that such efforts will not succeed in India. Addressing the annual Vijayadashami rally of the RSS in Nagpur, Bhagwat highlighted significant geopolitical shifts occurring across Western nations and urged observers to analyze the political situation in countries like France, Nepal, and Bangladesh. He alleged that certain external and internal forces are actively working to impede India’s growth and destabilize the nation.
Protests Should Focus on Solutions, Not Division:
Speaking on democratic rights, Bhagwat remarked that while protests and agitations are natural when grievances arise within a democratic framework, their ultimate goal must be problem-solving rather than fostering social discord or division. He cautioned that agitations should not be orchestrated merely to gain votes or popularity. Reaffirming that agitation alone cannot address fundamental issues, he stressed that lasting solutions can only be achieved through constructive dialogue and mutual discussion.
Call for National Unity:
The RSS chief underscored the critical importance of safeguarding the nation’s unity and rich diversity. He urged society to dispel misconceptions regarding different modes of worship and beliefs, advising against viewing diversity as a basis for discrimination. Highlighting commitment to the motherland, pride in shared heritage, and respect for Indian culture as unifying pillars, Bhagwat called upon citizens to work collectively toward the nation’s progress. He noted that allegations regarding foreign forces collaborating with internal groups to weaken the country reflect political assertions rather than independently verified facts.
