“Will Congress Ask for Pork at a Malayali Muslim’s Home?”: Rajeev Chandrasekhar Slams Congress Over Raj Bhavan Food Controversy.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar has strongly criticized the Congress party for opposing Governor Om Prakash Mathur’s decision to serve only vegetarian food at the Lok Bhavan (Raj Bhavan) kitchen. In a social media post, Chandrasekhar stated that stirring up controversy over the Governor’s personal food choices is merely a political tactic by the Congress to divert public attention from pressing issues.

Defending the Governor’s decision, Chandrasekhar emphasized that the primary resident of a house holds the sole right to decide what food is served in their kitchen according to their culture and personal preferences. He further posed a sharp question to the Opposition: “Will these Congress leaders visit the house of a Malayali Muslim and demand to be served pork?”

Targeting the opposition-led state administration, Chandrasekhar remarked that as the V.D. Satheesan government completes 150 days in office, the public is left questioning what tangible benefits have been delivered. Questioning the status of the promised ‘Puthuyuga Keralam’ initiative, the BJP chief accused the Congress of deliberately ignoring discussions on critical issues, such as the plight of unemployed youth and families struggling with the non-availability of essential medicines.
