NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its new list of national office-bearers. From Kerala, K Surendran has been appointed as a National Secretary, while Anil Antony will continue in his role as National Secretary. Former Union Minister Smriti Irani has been appointed as National General Secretary, with Ram Madhav and Tariq Mansoor included in the list of National Vice Presidents.
Meanwhile, AP Abdullakutty has been dropped from the post of National Vice President. BL Santhosh will continue as the National General Secretary (Organisation), while Hemang Joshi has been named the new Yuva Morcha President.
In an organizational overhaul, Deepak Mhaske has replaced Amit Malviya as the party’s Social Media Convener. Anil Baluni will continue to head the media department as media convener, with Pradeep Bhandari serving as co-convener.
Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sandeep Pathak has also found a place in the list of BJP National Secretaries.
The announcement comes following growing internal discontent over delays in forming the new organizational team, even after eight months since Nitin Nabin assumed charge as BJP National President. The newly announced panel balances experienced hands with new leaders.
